The most striking thing about October to me, is that despite the fact that we have a solar eclipse on the 3rd, which always brings some increased sensitivity, and for those whose chart’s it’s triggering, potentially some huge life changes within and without, October is a simple month.
The Solar Eclipse is in Hasta nakshatra, which in Vedic falls in the sign of Virgo, so there’s a golden opportunity now to organise our lives, to truly clean house and analyze until we get to the truth. Hasta relates to the hand, reading the find lines and paying attention to the intricate details. This is why those with Hasta in their charts make excellent jewellery designers, painters and craftsmen. Whatever your chosen focus is, October is a month of chiselling until you are happy with what you have created. Take your time. If you are dissatisfied with something, October’s astrology gives you the tools to move the furniture around until you’re happy with what you’re looking at.
October could also move very quickly. In the Vedic/Hindu calendar, it is known as Ashwin month. Ashwini is the nakshatra of race car drivers, fast movement and healing. The speed of this nakshatra energy could bring a fast change in some area of your life you deserve an upgrade. The Full Moon on the 17th is in Aries, sitting conjunct Chiron. So the following themes could arise: healing our wounds, finding peace in vulnerability, but since you cannot escape the drive and creativity of Aries, for those of you with a cherished goal, the Full Moon could bring a celebration of an achievement or a feeling of accomplishment.

07/10 - Chaturdashi - sacred fourth day after the new moon cycle, each month this day is viewed as excellent for beginnings and removing obstacles, as it is said that Ganesha rules over this day, the God who is ruler of obstacles (placing them when we need them for higher, unseen reasons) and also for removing our path and helping us with beginnings.
09/10 - Jupiter stations retrograde in Taurus. The house area of your chart that has seen expansion since end of May, will now continue to simmer but on a lower heat. This retrograde is a great chance to review, consolidate, and take a breather while you get a macro look of where you’re at. This continues until February. 13th - 17th October - These three days i noticed are the only days when both the Sun and Venus are together in the same sign of Libra, an excellent time just before the Full Moon to form strong partnerships and link up with a trusted ally. Great for shopping, beauty, fashion and art. Enjoy light hearted interactions.
17/09 - Full Moon in Ashwini nakshatra (Aries) You’ll be notified when your Full Moon reading is up, some indications of how to work with it are included in the monthly overview.
