September 2024. For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere - the end of summer. For mostly everyone, the energy of Back-to-School and Virgo season organisation arrives.
After August gave us a month full of astrology to help with integration, now September comes to offer us creativity, boundaries, and space to weave something new. For relationship matters, September is tricky, and is best meant for creative solo endeavours, or for practicing non attachment with partners. This is because Venus, the planet of relationship and diplomacy, is with Ketu, the headless south node of the Moon. Ketu is a point of separation, of purification, and release. So it’s not the time to cling to something that doesn’t want to be held. Letting go, and surrender, are key this month.
Let’s focus on the things that are within your power. Your words, your thoughts, and the small actions you take matter in September. This is because Mercury is very active all month.
What are you creating with structure, what are you weaving this month? Look to the finer details as Venus is in Hasta nakshatra, the constellation of the hand, or reading the fine lines, and finding subtle understanding.
September is, for detailed work, for looking at the nuts and bolts of your experience. What small steps can you take that will help you on your journey? What tweaks will make a huge impact?

September Unique Energy Dates
04/09 - New Moon in Purva Phalguni Nakshtra (Leo) this is a creative New Moon
04/09 - Mercury enters Leo until 23rd September. Be regal, proper, and stand in your power with your words in all conversations. Both written and spoken.
06/09 - Mars in Gemini moves into Ardra nakshatra. This is a stormy portion of Gemini, ruled by Rahu, so things will speed up, and may perhaps change or you will face situations that push you to think on your feet. Until 29th September.
16/09 - Virgo season officially begins in the Vedic calendar. This is a season ruled by Mercury. Stay disciplined, humble, and organise. Do not expect too much from others. Focus on what you can do solo for now.
18/09 - Full Moon in Pisces in Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra.
18/09 - Venus enters Virgo on 23rd September. Until the 6th October this puts Venus is a slightly awkward place, together with Ketu. This is not the best time for partnerships, collaborations, and is best used for self enquiry, spiritual endeavour, or perhaps healing or letting go of relationships that don’t serve us. Ketu can push us into solitude, however it is a very spiritual point, so great for meditation, or healing.
29/09 - Mars enters Punarvasu nakshatra. Something comes around for a second review. This is a time of rejuvenation, of learning, studying, of connecting with teachers or guides who inspire you. Success is found in October through using your words carefully to get what you desire. Those who use brute force won’t find the path easy. Diplomacy and collaboration is key in September and October.
